Bonafide Service Dogs, Inc., the dogs with heart, have expanded their curriculum and now offer Service Dog Training Classes. We offer three different levels of training.
Level One –
Public Access Test – Beginners
As you know, Service Dogs behavior is always a step above the rest. We offer obedience classes for your potential Service Dog following the AKC Good Citizenship Program. By taking this first step, you and your battle buddy are on the way to becoming a well-oiled machine. All three levels, the Canine Good Citizen (CGC), the Canine Advanced (CGC-A) and the Canine Urban (CGC-U) give you and your canine companion the opportunity to cover everything from basic obedience skills to how to walk through a crowd. Once these three levels are obtained, you are classified as a Service Dog-in-Training.
Level Two –
Public Access Test – Advanced
What are my rights with a Service Animal? How do I go to the grocery store with my Service Dog? To the restaurant? Are there certain things my dog is required to do? How do I travel with them? For the next four weeks have all your questions answered and more! Learn how to go to the grocery store, the mall, your favorite restaurant, anywhere you go! Even your workplace! (all three CGC levels are required before this class).
Level Three
Task Work –
During the Advanced Public Access Test, you will sit down individually and meet with the trainers to discuss the work your dog will need to learn. There are several different types of Service Dogs we can help you with, from Psychiatric to Mobility. Your dog will be trained to your specific need.
